As an 11 year old public lighting enthusiast from west Sussex, I had no Idea that the Beta 7 existed, I just thought it skipped over 1! Over in west Sussex, we only really have Iridiums and Arcs!

Amazing website, Tomas! Really interesting collection of street lamps - these objects are often overlooked but you’ve been able to capture them with great care, creativity and passion. I will definitely keep an eye out more and appreciate the craftsmanship of these lamps!

I agree about the LED lights - we have them where I live and they are absolutely rubbish. They should have consulted you before installing them.

This is an excellent website, full of really good information and great pictures! For street lamps, it will be interesting to see how they develop the idea of them being used for electric car charging also. Also, I found out that when more than 3 street lamps are on a single road, it means the speed limit is 30. The other fact I know is that the street lamps on The Mall by Buckingham Palace are able to collapse half way down so they can be folded and The Mall be used as an emergency runway for the Royal Family.
