Wrtl arc 90

Wrtl arc 90s are one of the best modern street lanterns. They have aluminium canopies and have a thick red seal to keep water out of them. Surrey council installed over 60,000 WRTL libras and 23,000 WRTL ARCS.

surrey

These Wrtl arcs in Surrey were installed around 2012, and were removed around 2021. What a waste of perfectly good and working street lights. Now all of the Wrtl arcs in Surrey have now gone. Some of them had a leafnut branch node on them, however most had a normal leafnut node.

I found a road and a roundabout full of Surrey Green arcs when I was in the car on Sat 20 July 2024. They are a true survivor! The photos are from google maps, as I forgot to get photos of them.

The crooked billet roundabout, A30

These Wrtl arc 90s are on the crooked billet roundabout on the A30. They have flat-glass on them and they run on a SON-T lamp.

This ARC 90 has lost its canopy! As the water can get into this arc, it probably doesn’t work as the water would have blown the fuse in the column's base, and I guess that the gear is very rusty!

This ARC 90 has its canopy taped up!
